Mr. Paul C. Pearson

I, Paul C. Pearson, was called Heavenward by Christ Jesus on November 6, 2017, at age of 70. I was born in Flint, Michigan on August 26, 1947 to Vernon E. and Jean A. (Lowell) Pearson. We moved to Port Huron, Michigan in 1954. I graduated from Port Huron High School in 1965, and entered the United States Air Force after graduation. After my service was completed I entered the Miami Florida Regional Counsel of Carpenters Apprenticeship Training Program and worked in that area. I traveled to Tennessee and Colorado to work in my field, and served as Vice President of Carpenter Local 1351 in Denver. In 1987 I returned to Port Huron as a member of Local 687. My last six years I worked as an Instructor at the Detroit Carpenter Apprenticeship School in Ferndale, Michigan. I retired after 32 years of service. During these many years I spent 25 years in the entertainment business as a songwriter, singer and entertainer. I consider these as a wonderful and fun experience for me. I was predeceased by my parents, my daughter, Ailie (I-lee) Pearson; and my stepson, Jason M. Gladwish. I am survived by my daughter, Amy (Mark) McRoy of Tennessee; my son, Cody Lee Pearson of Sandusky; four grandsons: Dayn, Brandyn, Bradley and Caleb; granddaughter, Bella and great-granddaughter, Vanna; my sister, Teresa (Dan) Catanzaro and family; nephew, Danny (Megan) Catanzaro and family, niece, Veronica (Mark Duckworth) Catanzaro and family. A Special Thank You to my cousin and best friend, Gordon R. Inch, for all his help in this matter. And also, a special Thank You to Gary Willing for our friendship since we were little kids up to this very day; to Stacey Chandler for her special love and friendship for many, many years and Sal Serbin, “my brother” for his continued friendship over the last 40 years. And to my Pearson and Lowell family members. Also, to my Brother in Christ, Bill Forbes, my Mentor and Confidant, and a very important person who has been a great help to me over these many years. A Memorial Service will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at The River Church of God, 3675 North River Road, Fort Gratiot.
