LeRoy Edgar Ledsworth

LeRoy E. Ledsworth, age 86 of Port Huron Township, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 6, 1939, LeRoy lived an extraordinary life marked by dedication, kindness, and a spirited sense of humor. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Ormond Ledsworth; his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Inge Ledsworth; and his nephew, Gary Lee Ledsworth. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Doris Ann (Berry) Ledsworth; their two children, David (Sally) Ledsworth and Laura Shigley, three grandchildren; Davan James Ledsworth, Logan Christopher Stroh and Avery Elizabeth Shigley. Known for his remarkable work ethic, LeRoy spent many years at Mueller Brass, all while operating his own successful electrical business, Ledsworth Electric. His commitment to both his career and his craft was evident to all who knew him, and his legacy as a hardworking provider will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. LeRoy was an avid skier, boater, and golfer, always eager to embrace adventure and enjoy the great outdoors. His playful spirit and love of pranks brought joy and laughter to those around him, making him a favorite among friends and acquaintances alike. LeRoy’s warmth, humor, and generosity made a lasting impact on everyone he met. Above all, LeRoy cherished his family. His enduring marriage to Doris Ann, his pride in his children and grandchildren, and his unwavering support and love defined his life. LeRoy’s memory will be treasured by his loved ones and the many lives he touched throughout his years. LeRoy E. Ledsworth will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace. Graveside services will be Wednesday – January 14, 2026 at 12:00pm (Noon) in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fort Gratiot. Pastor Lamar Black of Port Huron Church of Christ will officiate. St. Clair County Veterans Council and the United States Army will conduct military honors. The visiting hours will be Tuesday – January 13, 2026 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm in the Jowett Funeral Home – 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron. Memorial contributions cane be made to Port Huron Church of Christ or Charity of Donor’s Choice. Jowett Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Ledsworth Family.
