Helen K. Johnson

Helen Kathleen Johnson, age 95 of Port Huron, passed away on June 2, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1930 in McAllen, Texas to the late James and Helen Quider. She married Charles E. Johnson on April 21, 1950 in Fair Haven. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1970. Helen lived a life marked by love, devotion, resilience, and deep commitment to family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her presence provided comfort, stability, and strength to those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, her honesty, her forgiveness, and her unconditional love for her family. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel meaningful, whether through conversation, a familiar song, a shared memory, or simply being present when she was needed most. She had a way of being both gentle and direct, offering love in ways that were practical, steady, and unmistakably her own. Throughout her life, Helen helped create a foundation of family, belonging, and care. She nurtured generations through her steady presence and lasting love. Her influence lives on in the values she passed down: showing up for one another, forgiving often, and loving fully. Her life is a reminder that a person's legacy is not only found in accomplishments, but in the way you make others feel love, supported, and remembered. Helen leaves behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and unconditional love that will continue to guide her family for generations. The world and our family have lost a wonderful and deeply impactful person. She will be profoundly missed, and her family will carry her memory forward with gratitude, pride, and deep love. She is survived by her children; John (Dianna) Johnson, Bill (Mary) Johnson and Sue Johnson, eleven grandchildren; Justin (Erica) Johnson, Jordan (Liz) Johnson, Dr. Kevin (Lindsay) Johnson, Brian (Alissa) Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Bridget (Patrick) Thompson, Kristen Fleming, Jacqueline Fleming, Bradley Bartlett, Shantell (Johnathan) Johnson-Jones and Drew Johnson, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family wishes to express a special thank you and acknowledge their appreciation for the friendship of Ann Morrison and Tiffany Morrison. She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Johnson and a brother, Bart Quider. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
