Charles C. Miller

Charles Clifford Miller, whom we all know as “Cliff” age 63, of Port Huron went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2021 due to complications from Covid-19. He was born on January 18, 1958 to the late Ethel and James Henry Miller Sr. Cliff graduated from Port Huron High School and then joined the United States Army. He was discharged from the service on March 26, 1976. Cliff was a vibrant, wise man who loved his family and gave direction and guidance to anyone who would listen. He worked at DTE and Leer Corporation (IAC) as a line leader for 18 years. He leaves to celebrate his life, his loving wife, Barbara Miller; 7 children; JaHuan “Cool” Miller, Clifton “Bootsy” (Deidre) Morgan, Jermaine Miller, Christopher Miller, Shevena Collier, Devale Collier, and Naesa (Chad) Richardson; 19 grandchildren that adore their “PaPa”; two sisters; Mary (Don) McCullough and AlVester Brown; mother in-law Dorothy Collier, 4 sisters-in-laws; Virginia and Helen Miller, Mary Meadows and Sarah (Darrell) Talbert; 1 brother-in-law John F. Collier Jr.; special nieces (Jennifer and Andrea Miller) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was loved by many! His ribs and BBQ sauce were known throughout the city. Cliff was a very disciplined man who stuck to his schedule: playing his numbers, listening to music, sitting in the garage and people watching. He was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Miller Sr.; mother, Ethel Lee Miller; sisters: Artie Davis, Joyce Noble, and Wilethel “Cindy” Miller; brothers; Fred Miller, Russell “Kuke” Miller, and Woodrow “Joe” Miller, Father in-law John F. Collier Sr.; brother in-law Michael Brown Sr., William Collier and Leonard Meadows. Cliff’s last words were to “Stay Safe and I Loves All My Children!” Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 4 in Restoration Christian Community Church at 3201 Gratiot Ave, Port Huron. Reverend Carl Miller and Pastor Mary Meadows will officiate. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 4 at 11am until 1pm at the church. Burial will take place in Woodland Cemetery.
