Mr. Bruce G. Siterlet

Bruce Gregory Siterlet was born October 15, 1951- passed January 30, 2015 at 8:13pm my family lost its hero. Before I get into how we love and will miss this man I want to share with you what kind of person my uncle was. He served and did 2 tours of duty in Vietnam building bridges and roads so our troops could move more freely and safely throughout the war torn jungle. He told us stories of that war, and how his platoon would take on enemy fire daily as they were trying to build. The bravery, determination and iron will to help others in his life was solidified on the battlefields of South Vietnam and proven throughout his short lifetime to all of us who knew him. My uncle raised four boys in a house right off lake St. Clair, my uncle Bruce taught Brucey, Scotty, Billy and Brain about hunting, fishing, construction and how to love and take care of your family. When I was growing up there was two people in my life that I thought were indestructible supermen, that was my dad and my uncle Bruce Siterlet. My uncle was a stout 5'9" and pure muscle in his hay day, and him and my dad were a force to be reckoned with in high school and in their neighborhood when they were growing up. The softer loving side of my uncle was shown to his grand babies, the light of his life. The smile you would see from him when they were around was a great sight to see. I am very happy I went up to my uncle Stever's this past fall for the hayride, I was able to spend some time and talk to my uncle Bruce for a while. It rips my heart to shreds saying that my uncle Bruce is gone, but I can guarantee you this family will never forget and will always be talking about the man who made us all better people. No more pain Unc, no more pain. You can be with Beth Ann now; she has been waiting to see you. Lil Dan Bruce was preceded in his death by his father, Daniel Sr., his papa Steve, his nana and granddad. He is survived by his mother, Coleen Stencil; brothers: Dan Siterlet, Stevie Stencil; sisters-in-law, Nancy Siterlet, Karen Stencil; sons: Brucey Siterlet, Scott Siterlet, Billy Siterlet and Brian Siterlet; daughters-in-law; Tiffany Siterlet, Felipa Siterlet, Arlene Siterlet and Julie Siterlet; nephews; Danny, Michael and Jeffery; Great-nephew, Brandon; nieces: Heather, Jasmine, Amy; granddaughters: Tylor, Brianna and Carissa; grandsons: Dakota, Josh, Bradley, Hunter, Trenton; step grandsons: Richie, Johnny and Justin; step granddaughters, Ellen and Chanel; great grandchildren: Langesten, Benjamin and Eveline. In lieu of flowers or cards the family asks that you help a veteran in need. In the spring the family will have a cookout bonfire and will contact every one with the date.
