Amy Marie Lawrence

Amy Marie Lawrence, age 38, of Port Huron, passed away peacefully in her home after a courageous battle with Vasculitis. She was born on November 10, 1983 in Port Huron, Michigan. Amy married her high school sweetheart, Kyle Niven Lawrence on June 26, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church. She was a 2002 graduate of Port Huron Northern High School. Amy attended Francis Marion University and earned a Bachelors of Communication from Western Michigan University. She worked at Orthopedic Associates until 2019, when she became a full time mother to her pride and joy; her son, Jack Niven Lawrence. Amy had a zest for life, enjoying trips with her family and time on Hilton Head Island. She had a smile that could light up a room and a sweetness that is rare to find. She is survived by her husband, Kyle, and her son Jack. Amy is also survived by her parents, David and Jo Murphy; sister, Jenny Murphy; brother, Daniel Murphy; father and mother-in-law, Craig and Patty Lawrence; sister-in-law, Maggie Liace and husband Tony; brother-in-law, Patrick Lawrence and his wife Jamie. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, Barb and Jim Zimmer, Margie and Bob Hale, Linda Emig, Julie and Jim Gamber, Liz and Rick Schweihofer, and Mark Murphy. She leaves behind her loving niece Eleanor, nephews Edward and William, niece Alexandra, and many special cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Maureen Lawrence, and also by her grandparents, Jack and Bonnie Hale, and Doug and Mimi Murphy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28th, 2022 in Faith Lutheran Church - 3455 Stone St., Port Huron, Michigan. Reverend Mark L. Huff will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Jowett Funeral Home - 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron, and Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. Preceding the funeral, there will be viewing from 10:00am until 11:00am. Pallbearers will be – Patrick Lawrence, Daniel Murphy, Rob Heyboer, Thomas Barbier, Jim Gamber, and Bob Hale; honorary pallbearer will be Jim Zimmer.
