Amy Marie Burman - March 21,1978 - September 19, 2022 Amy Burman, age 44, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, surrounded by the people she loved. Amy attended St. Raymond’s School, St. Peter Apostolic Catholic School, and Regina High School - class of 1996. She also graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Amy worked at the Dairy Queen as a teenager and then went on to St. John’s Hospital, to work as a Patient Access Representative, until she was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2011. Amy was a fresh breath of air, a silly smile, a funny joke, full of love, passionate, graceful, and beautiful. She loved her animals. She loved vacations with family, and trips with David. Amy was a child at heart, she loved the simple things in life, such as Lego building and coloring. Amy never once complained and lived her life to the fullest. She fought fiercely until the end like a true Warrior. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her father, Robert J. Burman Jr., her mother, Linda P. Burman (Joerin), long time love, together for 19 years, and always at her side, David Fortunato, and siblings; Danielle Presnell (Steve), Jacob Burman (Lauren McClellan), her nephew, Waylon J. Presnell and niece, Charlie Mae Presnell. Including many aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren, friends, and family and her sweet pets; Kitty (Oreo) and Norbert the Bird. The family would like to say thank you to everyone for all their prayers, love and support during this difficult time.
