William B. Sears

William B. Sears, age 80, of Port Huron, passed away on November 1, 2021. He was born on October 1, 1941, in Port Huron, to the late Stuart and Beatrice Sears. Bill was the owner/operator of Sears Grocery, for over 25 years. He worked side by side with his brothers at Sears Collision. During high school, he was the recipient of the Bill Bearss Award. Bill enjoyed deer and moose hunting and was very proud of the Canadian moose that he bagged. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling to tournaments, across the country. Bill enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Lions. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge. Bill loved his family more than anything. He was very proud of his grandchildren and great granddaughter. He is survived by his children; Brian (Denise) Sears, Theresa (Michael) Hill and Leonard Sears, grandchildren; Heather (David) Bryan, Brittany Hill, Kirsten (Austin) Goodrich and Matthew Hill, great granddaughter, Adeline Bryan. He is also survived by his siblings; David Sears, Jean (Jake) Dersch, Al (D’Esta) Sears, Lois (David) Hunwick, Bea (Ron) Churchill, Connie McCombs and Bob Sears. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Sears. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Jowett Funeral Home – 1634 Lapeer Avenue. Minister Shaun Laurain will officiate. Visiting hours will be from 11:00am until time of service. Jowett Funeral Home is privileged to serve the family.
