Timothy P. MacRury, age 66, of Port Huron passed away January 14, 2022 of suicide after a long and painful illness. Tim retired as a Captain of the Merchant Marines where he spent 43 years sailing the Great Lakes. Tim was also a United States Army veteran and served honorably in Korea on UN mission. He had many interests and hobbies, but his greatest love was his wife, Julie McCoy and stepsons Nolan and Harrison Walker. Tim enjoyed sailing and music. He played piano, spoons, and appreciated watching live music. Timothy spent time hunting, fishing, playing cribbage and teaching family members to play dominos. Tim was born to the late Angus and Jane (Roy) MacRury on August 12,1955. He is survived by his siblings; Bridget (Dave) Boucher, Douglas, and Mark (Vilene) MacRury. Timothy was preceded in death by his sister, Merideth MacRury; and his in-laws; Pat and Sara McCoy. He was also loved by and will be greatly missed by his in-laws; Marianne (Gerald) Schock, Pat McCoy, and Susan Williams along with many nieces, nephews, and close friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MidCity Nutrition in Tim’s honor. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
