Manuel Garcia Campos It is with great sadness that we announce Manuel's passing on December 12, 2021, as his wife Alison was by his side. He was born in Morenci, AZ on May 20, 1964 and was raised in Clifton, AZ. The Son of the late Candelario C. Campos and Margarita G. Campos who continues to reside in Tucson, AZ. As a young Boy he grew up in the Shannon Hill Neighborhood where he shared many experiences with his close friends. As a young Man, Manuel always looked forward to spending time in the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Upon graduating from High School, Manuel joined the United States Navy and served within the Construction Battalion also known as the Seabees. After spending 5 years in the Navy Manuel lived temporarily in Flagstaff, AZ and worked for the Coconino County Road Department as a skilled Equipment Operator. Manuel also worked part-time with his older Brother in the Custom Home Industry. Manuel relocated to Vancouver, WA where he first worked in the City of Vancouver Building Department and eventually went to work for Bonneville Power Administration as a Federal Employee. Manuel met his wife Alison in Vancouver, WA and eventually moved to Columbus, MI where they resided on a small farm with their three young children. Manuel was excited to be at his latest job and continued as a Federal Employee working as a Project Manager for the Housing and Urban Development. Manuel came to love working the land on his property, deer hunting, and many custom home projects but his favorite pastime was playing with his three children and teaching them some of his own skills. Manuel, also known as “Manny” to many friends, is best known for his big smile, personality and fun-loving humor which made an impression on everyone he met.
