Jean C. Nank

April 3, 1944 - January 21, 2022

Jean Carol Nank, age 77, of St. Clair Shores, went home to be with Jesus on January 21, 2022. Though her physical heart failed, her heart for God and her family is incredibly strong and lives on. She was born to Randall and Margaret Kamischke on April 3,1944, Jean was the eldest of three siblings and is survived by her siblings; Randy Jr. (Janet) Kamischke and Susan (Roger) Ulmer. She was married to Robert Nank on December 7, 1968. Bob passed several years ago from Alzheimer's and is undoubtedly glad to have his "Jeanie" back. Together they raised and are survived by four children: Maggie (Rick) Patterson, Vicky (Phil) Bologna, Mike (April) Nank, and Dan Nank. College educated, Jean opted to spend most of her adult life as a homemaker, pouring her love and energy into her family, her community, and her church. Jean's most valued treasure in life was likely her grandchildren: Bethany, Alan, Trinity, Danny, Charity, Emma, Sylis, Addy, and Chris. Ask anyone who knew Jean what her defining quality was and they will all say "a servant's heart." Jean was wired and gifted to help others. She took great joy in supporting the work of her church, efforts to supply needed food, Christmas gifts to families in need, etc, etc. The list would be too long. She purposefully and humbly lived a simple lifestyle so she could do more to help others. Jean also loved family gatherings. Dubbed the "fruit ninja" by her grandchildren, she would always bring fresh fruit to the party. While she had no competitive nature, she loved to play games. She was actually happier when others won. When home alone she enjoyed Hallmark movies, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at Paradox Church - 28241 Mound Rd., Warren, Michigan 48092 on February 5, 2022 at 11:00,am. Visiting will be from 10:00am until time of service. There will be a luncheon following service In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cure Alzheimer's Fund https://curealz.org/giving/donate/ Arrangements in care of Jowett Funeral Home - New Haven.
