Eleanor Annie Brown

November 2, 1930 - December 18, 2021

Eleanor A. Brown, age 91, of Clinton Township, passed away on December 18, 2021. Eleanor was born on a small farm in New Haven in 1930 where she learned the value of hard work and sacrifice. She married soon after graduating high school, moved to Detroit and started a family. Her first child was James Robert Frink in 1952, Sandra Marie in 1954, and finally Rodney John in 1957. Despite many personal hardships, Eleanor had a good sense of humor, loved to dance, and was generous and compassionate. Eleanor worked hard her whole life, raising her children and working too. She met her third husband working for the U.S. Postal service and retired after 30 years there. In retirement she enjoyed being a grandma and later moved from her house in Detroit to a condo in Macomb county. As her health declined, she was unable to live independently and went into a nursing home where she passed peacefully on 12/18/2021 at the age of 91. She is survived by her sons; James (Cindy) Frink, and Rodney (Ying) Frink, grandchildren; Jacob Frink, and James Frink, sister: Anna Kjerrumgaard; brother John (Shele) Oprita, and nieces: Beth Kjerrumgaard, Louise, Nancy, Kathy Ritter, and Nicole Oprita, and nehpew; Nathan Oprita. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Marie Frink, husband, Moses Brown, parents; Nicholas and Anita Oprita, sister, Mary McMahon, nephew, Edward McMahon and niece, Natalie Hugo (Oprita).
