Deborah Marie Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Sunday, December 12, 2021, Deborah Marie Jones left earth to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Debbi was born on October 14, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and grew up in Cannonsburg, Michigan. Preceded in death by both of her parents, J. E. and Wilma Jones, she is survived by her brothers Jack (Suzanne) Jones and Tim (Nancy) Jones and sister Cindy (Nelson) Brown. She is also survived by her aunt Betty Wilhelm and her uncle Paul (Shirley) Jones. She was a devoted aunt to nieces Brittany Jones, Heather Woolvett, Amelia Havens and nephews Jesse Jones, Joshua Jones, Dan Jones, Cody Jones, J. R. Brown and Jeremy Brown. She was equally devoted to several grandnieces and grandnephews. Everyone who knew and loved Debbi knew that family came first with her. A 1983 graduate of Rockford High School in Rockford, Michigan, Debbie put her analytical mind to work in jobs at Standard Federal Bank and then Bank of America. That led her to work at a title company and eventually self-employment as a closer helping people achieve their dreams of home ownership. That career was the perfect marriage of professional skills she worked hard to develop and her love of helping people. Traveling was one of Debbi’s loves. She especially enjoyed cruises, the highlight of which came recently when she was able to go to Europe and take a cruise on the Rhine River with her sister and three close friends. Another highlight was a recent trip to Arizona to visit family. Outside work, Debbi enjoyed camping with friends at Algonac State Park. Debbi was a big fan of country music singer Jimmy Fortune, and she also enjoyed scrapbooking with her friends and family using her talents and skills to create enduring memories. She was a diehard Detroit Tiger baseball fan and enjoyed going to games with her sister Cindy and her grandniece Kyleigh. Finally, one of her greatest loves was her German Shepherd Isabella; they spent countless hours together going through basic and advanced training, and they excelled in scent work. Debbi’s family invites you all to celebrate her life with them at the open pavilion in Townsend Park in Cannon Township (8280 6 Mile Rd NE, Rockford, MI 49341) on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at 1:00 pm. The Jones Family would like to thank specifically the staff at Water Wheel Assisted Living Home in Grant Township and Port Huron McLaren Hospice for their caring professionalism and graciousness during Debbi’s final days.
