Dawn “Nanny” Willis, age 59, of Port Huron passed away on June 9, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born on November 20, 1962 in Torrance, California. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Willis. Dawn is survived by her lifelong partner, Jeff DeWitt; 2 daughters; Marjorie DeWitt (Ron Carpenter) and Kayla DeWitt (Steven Pope); 9 grandchildren; Joseph DeWitt (Key Mariah Williams), Katarah DeWitt, Aubrey DeWitt-Carpenter, Tiarah DeWitt, Damion DeWitt-Carpenter, Noah DeWitt Carpenter, Peyton DeWitt-Carpenter, Mikhail DeWitt-Carpenter, and Jayvon Pope; 1 great-grandchild, Josiah Dewitt-Harrison; her mother, Susan Willis; brothers, Ernie (Gina) Willis and Mark Willis; sisters, Robin Kessinger and Wendy (Tim) Stein; along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, and many of her “babies”. Including Ashleigh O’ Clair and her 5 children. She was raised in St. Clair Shores. Dawn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nanny and friend to many. Private family services will take place. Memorial tributes may be made to the wishes of the family. Cremation arrangements are in the care of the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave, Port Huron.
