David M. Skell

April 9, 1949 - January 17, 2022

David Skell, passed away peacefully, at home and with family on January 17, 2022. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in law, Gretchen and Joshua Earnest, his brother Gerald Skell and sister Rose Skell and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Skell, and his Stepfather Theodore Skell. David was a kind and gentle human being and a devoted family man. He loved the outdoors and was blessed with natural artistic talents. He was a skilled “Mr fix-it” and enjoyed the challenge “doing it himself” around the house. He loved cooking and his creativity in the kitchen knew no bounds. His most notable attribute, though, was the love and devotion for his daughter Gretchen. David was raised in Detroit, attended Notre Dame high school and Wayne State University. Memorial services are planned for a later date. Arrangements in care of Jowett Funeral Home - Port Huron.
