Therese Juliann Jackson (née Ahearn), age 94, of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, at McLaren Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 23, 1932, in Grosse Pointe, Therese was the beloved daughter of William and Veronica Ahearn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael C. Jackson, and her sons, Michael T. Jackson and Kevin M. Jackson—losses she carried with strength, grace, and unwavering love. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Sheila Puglia, and son‑in‑law, Dave Puglia. Therese was a proud grandmother to Veronica Gardner (Ryan), Clayton Hunter (Joann), Chelsie Schmall (Tyler), and Brianna Martinez (Carlos). She was also a cherished great‑grandmother to Elena, Ayden, Skyler, Jesse, Leah, Maggie, Erin, and Carlos, each of whom brought her joy beyond measure. Family was the center of Therese’s world. She filled every gathering with warmth, laughter, and the kind of love that made everyone feel at home. Her stories, her humor, and her gentle way of making people feel seen and valued will be remembered for generations. Therese loved staying active and having fun. She bowled in a league, golfed with friends, and played in several poker groups where her quick wit always shined. She enjoyed trips to the casino and never passed up a good scratch‑off ticket—always hoping for that big win. She had just enough of the “luck of the Irish” to keep things interesting. She also loved savoring a cold Miller Lite or a Stinger cocktail, especially when surrounded by good company. Her lively spirit, sense of humor, and love of life made her unforgettable. Though her passing leaves a deep emptiness, Therese leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and memories that her family will carry forever. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday - August 29, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Peter Catholic Church - 95 Market St., Mt. Clemens. Father Mark Prill will officiate. The memorial visitation will begin at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blessed Solanus Capuchin in Therese’s memory. May she rest peacefully, reunited with those she loved and missed. And may her memory continue to be a blessing to all who knew her.
