Mr. Terry Eugene Wright

Terry Eugene Wright, of Port Huron, entered into heaven on May 31, 2013 at the age of 37. He left this earth while doing what he loved doing, racing sailboats. He was born on September 15, 1975 in Port Huron. Terry married Kristina Moeller on October 1, 2012 in Port Huron. He very much enjoyed, bike riding with his family, building and shooting off rockets, and building and racing pine wood derby cars with the boys. Terry had a positive impact on the youth in this community, coaching his son’s little league team for 3 ½ years, currently in pitching machine and the Central Cougars 8th grade football team for 4 years. He sailed out of the Port Huron Yacht Club racing for 5 years, alongside his twin brother, Gary. Together with their crew mates, they won the 2008 Port Huron to Mackinaw Race onboard the “Rebel.” We want to thank God for the forgiveness of sins. Terry is survived by his wife, Kristina Moeller-Wright; sons, Ty Moeller and Brennan Wright; stepdaughter, Ashlee Moeller; mother, Deborah (Lupe) Ramereiz; father, Jay (Gloria) Wright; grandmother, Wanda Wright; sister, Diana (Jeff) Ward; brother, Gary (Heather) Wright; brother-in-law, Allen McDonald; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy (Troy) Sanregret; mother-in-law, Janet McDonald; nieces and nephews: Mitchell, Roman, Silas, Melissa, Jordan, Chasity Mia, Stephanie and Lola. He was preceded in death by his niece, Sela Ward; grandfather, Jerry Wright and cousin, Steven Pesavento. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Woods Missionary Church, 3240 Pinegrove Ave. The Rev. Phil Whetstone, pastor of Colonial Woods Missionary Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; Wednesday 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Jowett Funeral home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, Port Huron and Thursday 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 12:00 p.m. in the church. Pallbearers will be Gary Wright, Allen McDonald, Randy Carl, Shaun Carl, Jimmy Evans, Joe Slade, Ashraf Hassan and Steve Sosa. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Harrison, Lee Shuckerow, Chris Rogers, Doug Warren and John McCombs. Memorial tributes may be made to the Wishes of the Family.
