Stacey A. Pannell

Stacey Ann Pannell, 54, of New Haven, Michigan, passed away on January 11th, 2025. Stacey was born on August 11th, 1970, to Frank and Dorthy Cole in St Clair Shores, Michigan. After graduating from Lakeview High School in 1988, she continued her studies at Macomb Community College where she completed an associate’s degree and met her husband, Robert Pannell. Soon after meeting, they began their life together. They had RJ in 1995 and then they purchased a home in Roseville, on the same street as Rob’s mother and sister. They began “Grow with Us Childcare” where their love for mentoring and watching children began. They were bonus parents to everyday care kid that passed through their care, friends of the children that spent countless hours at the house and every kid they had the pleasure of coaching and mentoring. They hosted countless pool parties, sleep overs, chaperoned every school event they could and attended any event for any of the kids they were available to throughout the duration of her life. On a family trip to the apple orchard, Stacey found her dream home. In 2005, they made the decision to move out to New Haven to start their new life shortly after Cole was born. They continued their daycare in New Haven. After childcare, Stacey was a founding member of New Haven Youth Soccer program, which she ran for many years. During which time, she began working at New Haven Elementary in the latchkey program and coached several sports at New Haven High School. Stacey was an incredible wife, mother, sister, friend and bonus parent. Her loss will continue to be felt forever, she left an indelible mark on our family and the community she loved so deeply. She gave all of herself to others and lit up every room she went into. Whether coming up with creative gifts, telling anyone how proud of them she was, gushing over their accomplishments or even a simple phone call to check-in, she made everyone feel her love. Stacey was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Dorthy Cole, and in-laws, Barbara and Jack Pannell. She is survived by her husband, Robert, children, RJ (Nick) and Cole, sister Tammy (John, deceased) Arcori, sister-in-law Lori (Tom) Goodman, sister-in-law Robyn (Jimmy, deceased) Pianello, as well as nieces, nephews, and grandnieces. She is also survived by the many young people in our community she was a bonus mom, coach and mentor to. There will be no formal service or viewing held; however, there will be a celebration of life held in the spring to show off the house she loved so much and have a party in her honor, with the exact details to be determined at a later date.
