Michele L. Carter

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michele Lynn Carter (O’Conner), of Algonac. Devoted wife, beloved mother, cherished daughter, Michele was called home to our Lord on Friday, December 31 st , 2021, at the age of 50 years. Michele is survived by her loving husband, Ed Carter; her beautiful daughters, Marissa Marie Revard, and Seirra Lynn Widdows; beloved mother, Janice Lou Clarke; brothers, Shawn Martin O’Connor and Gary Robert Clarke; sister, Lisa Ann Wyant; along with an endless number of friends, who she always treated just as if they were family. Michele will be lovingly and forever remembered by so many. On June 26th. t 2021 she was married into the Carter family. She was a mother-in-law to 6 children; lovingly named GramMichele by nine grandchildren whom she adored. She is predeceased by her loving father, Marty Michael O’Connor; stepfather, Ronald D. Clarke; brother, Ronnie D. Clarke. This generous, kind, loving woman has been labeled as “the best hugger”! She was so talented in her arts and crafts. She loved to quilt, crochet, and sew. It was pretty much impossible to have her in your presence and not have photography proof of your get-together! Love was always in her heart and she was always present with her friends and family. Her laugh was not only genuine and loud, but also contagious. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Visitation and Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 am at Woodside Bible Church, 419 Michigan St, Algonac, MI 48001. Followed directly by Prayer Service at 11:00 am. Church services will be streamed on the Woodside Facebook page. Luncheon to follow at 12:30 pm at the Pearl Beach Lions Club, 9590 Phelps Rd, Clay, MI 48001. The family asks that any Memorial Donations be made in honor of Michele Lynn Carter to The Algonquin Elementary PTO. The PTO funds go directly to the school and children, including bussing for field trips. As we all know, Michele found pure joy being able to drive all of her cherished students on her “Monkey Bus”. We know in our hearts, that if Michele could not drive the children herself; she would at a minimum want to be a passenger. She would love having her name attached to this cause.
