Marguerite "Margie" Moore

Marguerite M. “Margie” Moore, age 70, of Goodells, passed away on January 23, 2018, in the University of Michigan Hospital. She was born on October 7, 1947, in Port Huron, to the late Clifford and Rosie Willis. She married George A. Moore on March 8, 1969, in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1999. Margie was a very active member of the Blue Water Free Methodist Church. She volunteered at several area service organizations. She was a member of the Wadhams Lions Club and the Kimball Community Circle since 1966. Margie worked with Cub Scouts Pack 247, Boy Scout Troop 247 and Boy Scout Troop 100 for a little over 11 years. Margie enjoyed quilting, crocheting and doing crafts. She took a great interest in her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and attending their sporting events. Margie leaves her mark on her community and her church with a positive attitude and a loving hand. She is survived by her sons; Brooks (Vickie) Moore of North Street and Glenn (Michelle) Moore of Kimball Township, grandchildren; Justin (Ashley) Moore, Tylynn Moore, Grace Moore, Abby Moore, Clara Moore and Eric Moore. Sisters; Betty Warshefski and Ellen (Gary) Smith, brothers in law and sisters in law; Marilyn Willis, Mae Willis, JoAnn Moore, Jane (Don) Williams, Carol Moore, Joann (Chuck) DeLand, Basil (Pat) Moore, Brooksine May and Rosalie Phillips, best friends, Vicki and Chuck Harris, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers; Butch Willis, Alvin Willis and Clifford Willis, sister, Pat Brown, and brothers in law; Bo Brown, Archie Moore, Tom Warshefski, Dwight Moore, Harry May and John Moore. Margie was also preceded in death by Brooks and Irene Pearl Moore, nieces; Debbra Willis and Liz DeLand Hyde and nephews; Dan Baldock, Jeffrey Warshefski and Brian Williams. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11:00am in the Ross Bible Church - 2865 Maywood Dr., Port Huron Township. Pastor Randy Bennett of The Blue Water Free Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 12:00pm (noon) until 2:00pm and from 4:00pm until 8:00pm, in the Jowett Funeral Home – 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron and again on Thursday at Ross Bible Church, from 10:00am until time of service. Pallbearers will be; Jim Moore, Andy Moore, Troy Warshefski, Mike Warshefski and Paul Harris. Honorary pallbearers will be; Paul Smith, Bill Smith, Jason Willis, Ken Willis, Joe Willis, Tim Willis, Steve Willis and Allan Brown.
