Lorraine Hamilton

Lorraine Hamilton, age 98, of Port Huron, passed away on August 28, 2019, in Port Huron. She was born on August 8, 1921, in Long Beach, New York, to the late Vera Beard. Lorraine married James E. Hamilton on June 2, 1943, in Alabama. James passed away on November 25, 2004. She attended Long Beach High School was a member of the Y.M.C.A and she and her husband were avid travelers. They enjoyed taking their daughter and grandchildren on their adventures. They especially enjoyed riding the rollercoasters and visited the top ten roller coaster amusement parks. Lorraine was always outdoors attending to the squirrels, birds, and her flower gardens. Her energy level was astounding. She enjoyed music, dancing, cleaning, and all physical activities. She often beat her grandchildren at ping-pong and was famous for her killer slam shot. She was a fixture in her neighborhood and was loved and cared for by many neighbors and relatives in Port Huron and Canada. Lorraine enjoyed the numerous visits from her nephews and nieces the Hamilton's - Rob (Joann), Don, Ritchie (Barbara), Cheryl (Rob) Hamilton Winter, Dorothy, and Mary Esther, and Nancy. As well as the Canadian Hamilton's and their family Mary, Erie, Catherine, and Bill. She longed to return to New York and Connecticut to visit her cousins, nieces, and nephews The Ritter's and Sundblad's. She enjoyed life and looked forward to returning to her "sailor" James E. (Ali) khaddouma of Knoxville, Tennessee, granddaughter, Deann Chartier of Belleville, Michigan, nephew, Rob (Joann) Hamilton of Seattle, Washington, nephew, Don Hamilton of Port Huron, niece, Barbara Hamilton of Wisconsin, niece, Cheryl (Hamilton) Winter Wisconsin, nieces and nephews, the Ritters of New York, nieces and nephews, the Hamiltons of Canada and cousins, nieces and nephews of the Sunblads. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hamilton, Vera Beard and Bill Beard. Lorraine was also preceded in death by Ritchie Hamilton, Delause (Dorothy) Hamilton, Roy (Biana) Hamilton, Ray (Gertie)Hamilton. Marian Ritter, Bill Beard Jr., Albert Allan, Bob Allen, Paul Allen, Bob Allen, George Allen and her best friend Sara Lee Emerson.
