Jody N. Cole

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jody Norman Cole on December 25, 2024, at his home in Port Huron, Michigan. Joe was a lifelong resident of Port Huron, and he graduated from Port Huron Northern High School. He was known for his passion for gardening, baking and cherished family gatherings. Joe found solace in walks along the beach collecting sea glass, and quiet moments by the boardwalk, watching ships sail by. His creative spirit shown through with his love for graphic design and music, which he expressed as a part-time DJ. Joe also had a long career in maintenance work. Joe was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ, living his life in obedience to the Lord. Throughout the trials and storms he faced, he consistently found the brighter side, giving all glory to our Heavenly Father. On January 30, 2010, Joe made a profound commitment by surrendering his life to the Lord, culminating in his baptism at Colonial Woods Missionary Church in Port Huron. This pivotal moment marked as a significant step in his faith journey, reflecting his dedication to a life guided by Christian principles and community. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Alicia Cole of Florida, and his grandchildren; Chase, Isabella, and Abby and Madeline Daniels of Harrison Twp. Joe is also survived by his sisters; Diane Kibbe of Maryland, Colleen Barber of Port Huron and Carolyn (Brian) Alexander of Fort Gratiot, Lenore, John, and Paul Nevado of Port Huron. Also, Raymond Charles Dickinson of Port Huron. He will be deeply missed by his numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Elizabeth Cole, brother, Mark Cole, nephew, Christopher Dickinson, brothers-in-law; Randy Kibbe and Michael Belkiewicz, and cousin, Susan Witkze. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Joe’s memory. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date, allowing family and friends to come together and honor his memory.
