Jannette "Jan" Wolff

Jannette M. Wolff (79) passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023, with her family lovingly by her side. Born October 23, 1943 to Marjorie and Charles Weaver. Jan lived her life in Port Huron, MI with her husband Bernard Wolff until his death on January 30, 2015. She had three siblings Elaine & Bob Fiedler, Yvonne & Ernie Stolicker, and Eldon Weaver, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jan was forever proud of her children, grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She was often caught bragging about them to her friends. Her five children & their spouses; Scott (Clifford) & Kathy Garska, Charles & Kathaleen Garska, Betty & Ron Donaghy, Jerideanna & Bruce (deceased) Pretty, Annamaria Swinson-Solinsky will miss Jan’s infectious laugh, compassion and kind hearted demeanor. Jan’s was joyfully “Grandma” to everyone, but extra special to her sixteen grandchildren & their spouses; Leo Garska, Levi Garska, Laura Garska, Candice Streeter, Kristie Donaghy, Ronnie Donaghy, Ronald & Samantha Donaghy, Charles & Tara Garska, Shawn & Dena Garska, Marissa & Brian Nichols, Anthony & Stacy Garska, Jessica Pretty-Phillips & Dontae Phillips, Steven Pretty, Kayla & Jacob White, Dennis Swinson, Summer Swinson. Jan loved her family greater than they could ever imagine possible. Jan was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, caring, and kind. She was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of her life experiences. Jan started a cleaning company, Jan’s Cleaning Service, to provide for her five children and continued to work for over 50 years. She continued to work at the age of 79 because she enjoyed “keeping busy”. She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them- and if you knew her, you knew it. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before her. She will be missed dearly. In typical Jan fashion, there are no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstance. A celebration of life will occur with details to be determined.
