Ialiene J. Wynkoop

Ialiene Josaphine (Winch) Wynkoop, age 97 of Fort Gratiot Twp, was reunited with her loving husband of 37 years on October 18, 2024. She was born on June 8, 1927 in Madelia, Minnesota to the late Herbert and Lottie Winch. She married John Richard Wynkoop on June 19, 1945 in Bemidji, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1982. Ialiene was a loving and caring mother and friend. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, and wintering in North Carolina. Ialiene made beautiful quilts, by hand, and crocheted hats for people of all ages. She enjoyed spending time in her yard. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughters; Judith (Dave) Flanagan, Terry (Ross) Dysinger, Becky (Charles) Thompson and Mary (John) Goodwin, her grandchildren; David Jr. (Kathy) Flanagan, Michael (Denise) Flanagan, Patrick (Wanda) Flanagan, Jennifer (Chad) Gravish, Nicholas Dysinger, Steven (Lisa Dixon) Thompson, Shawn (Sandy) Thompson, Diana Goodwin, Jaclynn (Jestin) Boone and Victoria (Collin) Musser. She is also survived by her great grandchildren; Brittany (Casey) Wilson, Samantha Flanagan, Rebecca (Juan) Barron, Kayla Flangan, Thomas Flanagan, Tara (Adam) Swope, Kiley (Joshua) Smoldt and Cami Musser, Adrienne Dysinger, Aubrey Dysinger, and Alaina Dysinger great great grandchildren; Baily Wilson, Arthur Flanagan, Haven Smoldt, Kinzley Smoldt, Asher Smoldt and Lyric Swope, along, with her brother, Melvin (Sherry) Winch and several nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her son, John Richard Wynkoop Jr., brother, Claude Winch and sister, Leola Smith. Funeral services will be held on Saturday - October 26, 2024 at 11:00am in in the North Street United Methodist Church – 4580 North Road, North Street. Pastor Patty Hoppenworth will officiate. The burial will be in Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery. The visitation will be Friday – October 25, 2024 in the Jowett Funeral Home – 1634 Lapeer Ave., Port Huron from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Saturday from 10:00am until time of service, in the church. Pallbearers will be: David Flanagan Jr., Michael Flanagan, Patrick Flanagan, Chad Gravish, Steven Thompson and Nicholas Dysinger. The honorary pallbearer will be Shawn Thompson. Memorial contributions can be made to North Street United Methodist Church. Jowett Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Wynkoop Family.
