Gloria G. Ludington

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Gloria Ludington on May 17, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on December 1, 1937, to Carl and Grace Johnson, Gloria's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and unconditional love. Known affectionately as "Glo," she was a beacon of light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her joyous and thankful heart was evident in her daily interactions. Glo was known to give anything she owned to someone in need, and she embraced everyone with a warmth that made them feel like family. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, ensuring that everyone who crossed her path felt cared for and cherished. Gloria was predeceased by her beloved parents, Carl and Grace Johnson; her devoted husband, Eugene Ludington; and her dear sister, Leona Clingenpeel. She is survived by her loving children, Eugene and Nina, Larry and Julie, Tony and Lisa, Bob and Sheri, George and Lisa, and Alice and Jerry. She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Larry and Karen, Carl (Buck) and Bethan, and Beverly and Gene, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her legacy of love and generosity. Glo's home was a sanctuary of warmth and laughter. Her gentle hands were always busy, whether wrapping gifts with aluminum foil or mending broken items with duct tape. Her kitchen was a place where bellies were filled and hearts were nourished. Glo had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and loved. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Eugene and Nina for their dedication and care. A celebration of Gloria's life will be determined at a later date, allowing all who loved her to gather in remembrance of the joy and light she brought into the world. Gloria Ludington's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gloria's memory to a charity of your choice, continuing her legacy of giving and compassion. Rest in peace, dear Glo.
