Geraldine Emma (Wallace) Robinson May 23, 1928 - July 19, 2024. Geraldine (Jeri) Emma Robinson, age 96, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024. Jeri was born on May 23, 1928 in Detroit, MI to Charles and Alma (Schlueter) Wallace. Jeri met Walter Robinson in Lexington, MI in the summer of 1948. They were married in Detroit on May 6, 1950, and settled in Redford where they raised their four children. Jeri was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her kind, caring, and fun-loving nature endeared her to all who knew her. She cherished her friends as well, many of whom she’d known since childhood, When her children were older, Jeri went to work as a medical records secretary. After retirement, she and Walter moved to Port Sanilac, then to Lakeland, FL. They eventually returned to MI, living their final years in Chesterfield, MI. An adoring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Jeri’s happiest moments were spent with her family. Other favorite pastimes were watching Detroit sports (especially Tigers baseball) and classic movies and TV shows. Jeri was a lifelong crossword enthusiast—she completed at least one puzzle every day until her last. Every morning she could be found sitting at the kitchen table with her cup of coffee, a ballpoint pen, and The Detroit Free Press. Jeri was also skilled at cross-stitch and created beautiful gifts for her family—each one a work of art that will be treasured always. Jeri was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 62 years Walter Robinson; her parents, Charles and Alma Wallace, her brother Charles II (Shirley), and her sister Merlyn (Richard) Dittrich. She is survived by her children: Marc (Jackie), Michael (Kathy), Denise (Robert) Alt, and Tracy Redilla; 11 grandchildren: Jennifer Bullo, Timothy Robinson, Elizabeth (John) Masen, Rebecca (James) Alt-Olsen, Sara (Tyler) Boone, Kelly (Joshua) Lynch, Laura (Jeremy) Condit, Brian Robinson, Amanda (Alex) King, Allison Redilla, Abigail Redilla, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Cremation has taken place. A memorial will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of Jowett Funeral Home - New Haven
