Gary Robert Lee

Gary Robert Lee, age 51 of Fort Gratiot, passed away on August 15, 2025. He was born on June 26, 1974 in Port Huron. Gary had a large family and many, many friends. He loved all things automotive and FAST: cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and even RC cars. He loved spending time in his garage, going to car cruises, car races, motorcycle rides, spending time with friends, and travelling to Las Vegas. He was able to make one last trip to Vegas in June with Eileen. Gary was a man who could always make you laugh. He would make the jokes and could take a joke as well. You had to be ready for the most unexpected comeback from him. He was ridiculously proud of his daughter Chelsea for her accomplishments and being so successful all on her own. He talked to her countless times everyday. Gary was a proud Mama’s boy to the end! And he was her baby boy. His love for his mother was endless. His fiancee, Eileen, was the woman who changed Gary’s life. She was there through thick and thin. She never left his side. He was fortunate to share his last few years with Eileen. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter and devotion. She was a constant source of joy in his life. In his final days, Eileen showed remarkable strength and tenderness, staying by his side and giving him comfort when he needed it most. Her selfless care and support were a true reflection of the love they shared. Her presence brought him peace. Those who knew them together could see the deep bond between them. Our family is forever grateful for the way she stood by him with such love, loyalty, compassion, and grace. Survived by his beloved mother Lilas Lee, his fiancee Eileen Switzer, his daughters Chelsea Lee and Katie Lee, his grandchildren Braeden Paille, and Averie Hartman, his siblings Jerry (Linda) Wickings, Billy (Resa) Wickings, Danny (Ann) Wickings, Sherrie (Dave) McIntyre, Bill (Stacey) Lee, his beloved niece Angel Canham, his soon to be step-children Reese, Teagan and Tommy Georgia, many, many nieces and nephews, close friends Jeff (Nancy) Wahl, Johnny (Julie) Zsinor, Justin (Jeanette) Peters, Tina and Mikeal Reynolds, Scott (Jen) Guyette, Charlie (Jenny) Schell, Steve (Katie) Schef, and too many other friends to list. Preceded in death by his father William Lee, his sisters Cheri Lee and Cathy Jo Elliot. Private family services will take place. Arrangements in care of Jowett Funeral Home – Port Huron.
