Gary Edward Dudzinski September 28, 1944 – August 23, 2026 Gary Edward Dudzinski, age 81, of the Anchor Bay area, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026. He was born on September 28, 1944, in Hamtramck, Michigan, to Clarence and Alberta Dudzinski. Gary was a hardworking, kind, and generous man who was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and his community. He was a longtime business owner of Bay Construction and took great pride in his work. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division. An avid outdoorsman, Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. He earned multiple awards throughout the years for his trap shooting and was known for his impressive ability to shoot a perfect 50 out of 50. Whether he was outdoors enjoying one of his favorite activities or gathered around with family and friends, Gary was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved. Gary especially cherished time spent at the family cabin, where many wonderful memories were made with family and friends. He loved holidays, family gatherings, and parties, and he was always ready with a joke or a story. His quick wit and welcoming nature made everyone feel at home. Gary never seemed to meet a stranger and genuinely enjoyed anyone who stopped by. Gary truly appreciated the weekly visits with his nephew, Dana Dudzinski. He was a Longstanding Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2784 and a Lifetime Member of the Perch Point Conservation Club. Gary was particularly proud of creating and hosting the annual Wild Game Dinner at the FOE, an event that brought people together for seventeen (17) years while raising funds to provide Christmas presents for children in need. Of all his accomplishments, Gary was most proud of his family. Gary is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eileen M. Dudzinski; daughters, Nina (Keith) Barnett, Jr., Amy (Brendan) Weaver, and Angela (Mike) McCarthy; grandchildren, Keagan Barnett, Kolten Barnett, Max Weaver, Roen McCarthy, and Alex McCarthy; step-grandchildren, Keith Barnett III and Corey Weaver; and step-great-grandchildren, Bennett and Oaklyn Barnett and Brady Weaver. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Alberta Dudzinski, his brother, Michael Dudzinski and his nephew Gary Dudzinski. Gary will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, generosity, quick wit, stories, and welcoming spirit touched many lives. He had a special way of making everyone feel at home, and his family will forever cherish the countless memories made together at the cabin, during holidays and family gatherings, and in all the simple moments spent together.
